Runners Gear Up for Angkor Empire Marathon 2026 as Race Details Unveiled

PHNOM PENH – Excitement is building as the Angkor Empire Marathon 2026 prepares to welcome runners from around the world to the majestic setting of Angkor Wat Temple in Siem Reap on August 2.

Organisers have released the official race schedule, with the 42-kilometre full marathon kicking off at 4:30 am, followed by the 21-kilometre half-marathon at 5:30 am. The 10-kilometre run will start at 5:40 am, while the 3-kilometre fun run begins at 5:50 am.

The start and finish area is located in front of Angkor Wat Temple, one of Cambodia's most treasured landmarks and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Participants are reminded to arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes before their scheduled start time.

Runners are encouraged to review the course map in advance and plan their travel to ensure a smooth race-day experience.
