New Alliance Française Building Opens in Siem Reap

PHNOM PENH, July 29, 2026 – A new chapter for the Francophonie in Cambodia has begun, as the French Embassy participated in the inauguration of the new Alliance Française building in Siem Reap on July 24.

The new facility, which adds five new classrooms, significantly expands the centre's capacity to welcome students and promote French language and culture in the region. The extension was made possible through a donation from Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The new building reflects the vitality of the ties between Cambodia and the Francophone world, as well as the shared importance placed on youth, education, and cultural exchange.

The French Embassy extended its congratulations to all teams and partners who contribute daily to the growth of the Francophonie in Cambodia.
