Fears Grow for Russian Siblings Missing in Pattaya as Buried Motorcycle Found
PHNOM PENH, July 29, 2026 – Concern is mounting for two Russian siblings who have been missing from their Pattaya home since Sunday, as police discovered their disassembled motorcycle buried in a forest.
Roman, 17, and Diana, 22, left their house in Bristol Park Pattaya housing estate on Sunday, reportedly to visit a convenience store, according to their mother Zarina Nazimova. When they failed to return, she filed a missing persons report with police on Tuesday.
CCTV footage shows the siblings leaving the estate on a black Honda ADV160 motorcycle at around 4:20 am. They were seen greeting security guards before riding towards the Map Ta Phut-Na Jomtien motorway toll plaza, where they made a U-turn and briefly spoke with another motorcyclist. Shortly after, they disappeared from view near the Ban Sak Ngaeo motorway bridge.
On Wednesday morning, the motorcycle was found disassembled and buried in a forest in tambon Huay Yai. Assistant tambon chief Jakkrit Boonmak reported that a group of men with digging tools had been seen in the area the previous night.
The siblings, who speak Russian and English but no Thai, have been living in Thailand since 2021. Police are continuing their investigation and appeal for any information on their whereabouts.
