Ambassador Wang Checks on Displaced Cambodian Families

PHNOM PENH, August 3, 2026 – Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Wang Wenbin visited Preah Vihear province on Monday to deliver humanitarian aid and personally check on families still living in temporary shelters after being displaced from their homes.

The Ambassador toured the Wat Peung Angkam safety centre, commonly known as Wat Bak Kam, located in Bak Kam village, Chhean Muk commune, Tbeng Meanchey district. The centre continues to house civilians who have yet to return to their original residences.

Ambassador Wang received a warm welcome from H.E. Kim Rithy, Governor of Preah Vihear province, together with local authorities and armed forces personnel. The visit underscores China's continued humanitarian partnership with Cambodia and its care for communities affected by displacement.
