Cambodia Reviews Six Investment Projects Worth $174 Million

Phnom Penh, March 20, 2026 — The Cambodia Investment Committee of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) held its third “one-stop meeting” of 2026 to review six qualified investment project proposals, according to officials.

The meeting was presided over by H.E. Chea Vuthy, Secretary General of the Cambodia Investment Committee, and was attended by representatives from relevant ministries, institutions, and provincial authorities.

According to officials, the six proposed projects represent a total investment capital of approximately $174 million and are expected to create around 3,500 jobs. The projects span multiple sectors, including four industrial projects, one agricultural and agro-industrial project, and one infrastructure project.

The industrial projects include the production of Christmas trees and decorative lighting, manufacturing of chalk and plastic decorative materials, vehicle assembly, and the production of toys, bags, curtains, and printed goods.

The agricultural project involves the development of a fruit plantation farm for Pailin longan, along with a processing facility, while the infrastructure project focuses on energy development, including a 50-megawatt biomass power plant and a 40-megawatt solar power plant.

The projects are located across several provinces, including Svay Rieng, Battambang, Takeo, Pursat, Kandal, and Kampong Speu, according to officials.
