Oddar Meanchey Agriculture Department Continues Food Supply for Border Defense Forces

PHNOM PENH, August 11, 2026 – The Oddar Meanchey Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has delivered another batch of fresh produce and food supplies to border defense forces stationed in the province, as part of ongoing "Khmer Help Khmer" efforts.

On August 10, the department collected and distributed 170 kilograms of green beans, 500 kilograms of ripe red watermelon, 110 kilograms of climbing perch, and 400 duck eggs to border troops in Oddar Meanchey's military zone.

As of August 10, a total of 40 collection rounds have been conducted, with cumulative contributions reaching 50,899 kilograms of assorted produce. The total includes 30,640 kilograms of water spinach, 4,680 kilograms of yardlong beans, 2,350 kilograms of Chinese kale, 250 kilograms of cabbage, 100 kilograms of water mimosa, 11,700 kilograms of red watermelon, 140 kilograms of winter melon, 100 kilograms of pumpkin, 200 kilograms of watermelon rind, 65 kilograms of cucumber, 574 kilograms of green beans, 352 ears of corn, 35,890 duck eggs, 695 kilograms of climbing perch, and 15 kilograms of tilapia broodstock.

The initiative reflects continued local support for military personnel stationed along Cambodia's border areas.
