Military-Civilian Cooperation Workshop Opens at Ministry of National Defence

PHNOM PENH, August 24, 2026 – A workshop on military-civilian cooperation, themed "Supporting the Rear Battlefield to Strengthen the National Defence Frontline," officially opened on Monday at the Ministry of National Defence.

The workshop, which reviews lessons from the 2025 friendship and cooperation activities between Royal Cambodian Armed Forces units and civilian institutions, was presided over by General Vong Pisen, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces. Admiral Tea Sokha, Commander of the Royal Cambodian Navy and Secretary-General of the National Maritime Security Committee, served as the presiding officer for the opening ceremony.

The event focuses on strengthening coordination between military and civilian sectors, enhancing mutual understanding, and reinforcing national defence capabilities through integrated cooperation, particularly in Military Regions 4 and 5.
