Laos Hands Over 34 Thai Nationals in 7th Cybercrime and Online Gambling Transfer

PHNOM PENH, September 3, 2026 – Lao authorities have handed over 34 Thai nationals—12 of them women—to Thai officials in the seventh transfer of suspects linked to cybercrime and online gambling operations.

The handover took place on September 2 at the First Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge in Vientiane. The suspects were among those detained during a July 18 raid on the ST Vegus Company Limited building in Dongphosy village, Hadsayfong district, Vientiane.

The transfer was conducted in accordance with Lao immigration laws and bilateral agreements between the two countries. Lao officials signed the handover documents, while Thai authorities received the suspects for further legal proceedings.
