Cambodia–New Zealand Cooperation Strengthened Through ARDB–Ecly Talks on Agricultural Exports

A delegation from Cambodia’s Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB), led by H.E. Dr. Kao Thach, met with Ecly Ltd Director Erik Ly in Auckland, New Zealand, on March 18, 2026, to strengthen bilateral cooperation and expand market access for Cambodian agricultural products.

The meeting was attended by Khuy Michael, Head of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce’s representative office in New Zealand, along with representatives of the Cambodia Rice Federation.

Discussions focused on growing the presence of Cambodian goods in the New Zealand market, where Ecly Ltd has already established a strong logistics and distribution network. The company is currently importing and distributing key Cambodian products, including rice and Hanuman Beer.

Both sides explored opportunities to expand exports by introducing additional agricultural products from Cambodia, in response to rising demand and to further diversify trade links between the two countries.

Dr. Kao Thach expressed appreciation for Erik Ly’s role in facilitating trade, describing him as an important economic bridge connecting Cambodian producers to international markets through established warehousing systems and professional distribution channels.

The meeting underscores ongoing efforts to enhance Cambodia–New Zealand economic ties, particularly in the agricultural sector, and to promote Cambodian products on the global stage.
