Hun Manet Encourages Transportation Cost Easing Measures” for Workers

PHNOM PENH — March 19, 2026: Prime Minister Hun Manet has encouraged the implementation of measures to ease transportation costs for workers amid rising global fuel prices.

He has instructed the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training to convene discussions with representatives from employers and trade unions to identify practical solutions that can help reduce the financial burden on workers during this period.

The initiative aims to promote cooperation among stakeholders in developing balanced measures that support workers while maintaining the competitiveness of the country’s industries.

The move comes as global fuel price increases continue to impact the cost of living and daily expenses for workers nationwide.
